I’m a jazz musician and a software engineer with a passion for genealogy, cooking, movies and language. I live in Los Angeles with my wife Debra, who is also a genealogy nut with degrees in Egyptology and Beatleology. My adult kids Nicole, Jeff and Greg live in Massachusetts, and as far as I can tell, share enough interest in genealogy to say, “Oh, that’s cool…” when I tell them about a new discovery. My step-sons Malcolm and Corran seem to tolerate our endless discussions of the various ways to find a lost ancestor or the art and science of putting up short wave antennas.
